Tony Levitas is a singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Atlanta Georgia. He’s a veteran of the local music scene there and has played in a number of bands, most notably Arms Akimbo who released several records, appeared on MTV, and shared the stage with numerous bands including REM, Toots and The Maytals, Marianne Faithfull, the Beastie Boys, and the Tubes to name a few. Since 2011, Levitas has released five albums to wide acclaim and they are available on all major streaming platforms. He released his most recent work, “Shadows,” in April of 2024. His release from summer of 2022, “Post Dystopian Love Songs,” was produced by his good friend Eytan Davidson, who also plays on the album with Levitas. This album is in part, a portrayal of Levitas’ surviving Covid in 2020 and his struggle to get out of the hospital and back to his loved ones. His music could be described as Southern Americana though influenced by the music of his youth in the 60’s. Levitas’ songs offer a shot at redemption and hope for a better time for us all.
